Environmental Health Risk Analysis of Legundi Leaf Essential Oil Toxicity (Vitex Trifolia L.)

Introduction: Caring for the environment means participating in preserving as well possible, one concern is regarding development of use natural materials. This done to ensure safety consumers' herbal medicinal products or food products. One plants that are often used traditional medicine legundi plant (Vitex trifolia L.). Legundi leaf essential oil humans environmental health and Methods: Samples leaves were collected stages from Sukawati Gianyar area. Furthermore, isolation was carried out using maceration method, then a shrimp larvae toxicity test out, analysis by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS). Results Discussion: Toxicity show has an LC50 value 51,541 ppm, so it can be said toxic. GC results obtained eight chromatogram peaks. Of peaks, there peak compound with 41.77% high area, namely furan-2-carboxaldehyde. Conclusion: toxic, this finding important developing science product development. Environmental Health increase public knowledge field utilization
